Let it snow

I suppose this is old news by now, but yes it did a very strange thing here in Vegas yesterday. It snowed and actually stuck to the ground and you could play in it.Here is an action shot of Diana throwing a snow ball. It should be noted that other than a time or two in Utah, this girl has really never seen snow.

Here is a part of a snow man. Luckily we have a large grass area so it was possible to roll and get a snowman out of the one inch of snow.
I am sad that this shot did not turn out better. But I think you get the idea. This was a pretty big snow man for a little girl to make.

Here is a shot of Frosty by himself. I love the big fluffy snowflakes in the air.

And here is a shot the next morning. Even though it was sunny all day, the little snow man that could, is still standing. Who'd have thunk it?

Some of my Best Friends are Flakes

Last night for young women's activity we made decorations for the ward Christmas party on Friday night.
We are in charge of the Santa room. Since there is no chance of snow in any other form, we made snowflakes and hung them from the ceiling. Very Winter Wonderlandlike. In addition we wrapped boxes with wrapping paper to help make the room look festive. The young men put together gift bags for Santa to hand out to the primary kids. Can I just say how happy I am to not be activities chairman this year. Instead of worrying about all the details of the ward party, I am spending the week trying to get my house cleaned up and my Christmas decorations up. I think I am about half way done. And yes I am glad to just have paper snowflakes instead of the real thing. Even though it is not as pretty, it is much warmer. Here is a glorious picture of me posing with one of our creations.
