Hair today, gone tomorrow

Last night Diana decided that she wanted to get her hair cut. Apparently it was one of those days when you just can't take your hair anymore. I have been thinking about this for a while, because her long, long hair is sometimes difficult to manage. But still it is such a drastic thing to just chop it all off. Personally I couldn't do it, so I took her to super cuts. It was all over surprisingly fast. It will grow back in about a year, so not to worry if she doesn't like it.

Lovely before shot.
A shot in the chair with the cape.

It really is very long.

And here is the after shot. Good bye all those tangled split ends.

And finally the after shot. It feels so much healthier and how easy will it be to take care of. Hurray!

Adorable A-Line

Yesterday was one of those days when I just couldn't live with my hair for one more minute. Well and I actually had some unscheduled time in which I could take myself to the hair cutting place. I went in and pretty much said just fix it. It being the grown out mess that lives on my head. And my bangs that resembled those found on sheep dogs. Anyway this is what I came home looking like. It is really not that drastically different, but still it is shorter in the back than before. Also in this shot you can see my new glasses. Again not really that different. Maybe I am resistant to change. I have had a harder time adjusting to my bi focals than I thought I would. I was so excited to get them, but still a month later I am still trying to get used to blurriness that sometimes happens. I am told this is normal and eventually I will adjust. To be honest it is much better than it was. And it is nice to be able to read without taking my glasses off.
And here is a shot from the back.

The View from the back

In answer to request to see the back of my hair cut, here it is. I did indeed have Diana assist me in this endevor to see what the back of my hair looks like. Actually I gave it a shot by myself, but failed miserably as my arm strength is something akin to a wet noodle and by trying to hold the camera over my head I kept accidentally pushing buttons that were changing the settings. So taking pictures of the back of your hair definitely goes on the list of things not to do alone. In fact I have two options with this new hair doo. It can be flipped under or up. When I first style it, I try to make it flip up, but having a mind of its own, the next day it decides to flip under. Either way I suppose it is better than being bald, so I will take it.
