Hooray for technology

About a moth ago I bought this coolio docking station for my MP3 player. I love, love, love being able to listen to my music without headphones. Hooray for good deals on Woot.

Last weekend I finally joined the rest of society and purchased a lap top. Circuit City was having a great Labor Day sale. If Jared is going to be doing school online, I figured that we are going to need a lap top. Need might be putting it a little bit strongly, perhaps life would be a bit easier with it, would be a better way to put it. Any who, I took the plunge.

Marion has been so busy that he did not get the wireless router hooked up until Friday night. So now I finally have Internet on it. I am really going to love it. I don't really want to share with Jared, but I guess I can if I have to.

I got a great deal, if I manage to send in the rebate forms. If I do, I will end up with a free printer, router, and norton security, plus $200 off the computer.

The best thing so far, is that I was able to listen to the pod cast of the post BYU football game. I love that show. I was very curious to see what they had to say about the officials and the game in general.

I was very relieved that we won the game. Somehow I expected that it would be a nail biter the whole time. My stomach is still trying to recover from the nerves of watching that game. Towards the end, I couldn't take the suspense and I turned the radio on so I could hear what was going to happen before I had to watch it. Cheating I know. I am happy for them that they won. In just six days I will be at the UCLA game in Provo. I can't wait.

Jared, Diana, and I are going to go to Provo for the whole week. We will get to visit with much of my family. Next weekend my niece is getting baptized. I am hoping that getting away from here will be just what we need. Sometimes a change is as good as a rest. So here is hoping.

Wonderful Woot

I can't remember if I explicitly talked about the MP3 player I received for Christmas. It was purchased from Woot at a very good deal. I loved my new tech toy and promptly put 375 songs on it. The place that I appreciated it the most, was at school, when I was making copies. It was so glorious to have music to help me whistle while I worked.
Then there was a tragedy named I lost my MP3 player. The only thing I can figure out is that I must have left it as school. That is the last place I can remember having it. Curses, that darn copy job. Another example of no good deed going unpunished. But I have already ranted about that. So nuf said. After searching in vain for about 8 weeks, I gave in and purchased a new one, again from woot. This time I upgraded from the 4 GB one to the 8GB. Woohoo! Think of the storage capacity.
So the next chapter of my woes, was that my new player had some issues. It would never power itself up quickly when I turned it on. Eventually it just got stuck trying to come on. I could do nothing to fix it. It just had to run out of power. After a week of fiddling around with it, I decided that it just wasn't worth it.
Next I wrote to woot telling them of my problems. To my happiness they wrote me back the very next morning, telling me that they were sending me a new one. I just have to send my old one back. So yay for easy solutions to problems. My new one came today and I have already put my music back on it. Now I am up to 600 songs. Based on my experience I would totally recommend buying something from woot. Great stuff at great prices and great customer service when things don't work right.

Woot Newbie

Ok I have made my first purchase on the website Woot. For any of you who are unaware of this magical place, check it out at woot.com My sister-in-law first showed it to me about a year ago. It is a website that sells electronic stuff for radically good deals. They only sell one item each day until it is sold out. I know several people who have bought a lot of stuff from there. My sister and sister-in-law both bought a rumba from this fun place. Another thing this site does is sell something they call a "bag of crap" for $1. This is a random bag of stuff that sometimes has really great stuff in it. I have a friend who actually got a rumba in one of this cool bags that she only had to pay $8 for. So now I can say that I have gotten a great deal and yay for getting one more Christmas present out of the way.
