We're off to see the Wizard!

Okie Dokie, peeps. Here is the photographic evidence that dreams come true, and April in person is every bit as sweet, funny, and kind as she appears to be in blogland. And she is not the least bit of an axe murderer, which is what you have to worry about when you meet cyber friends in person. Oh and her sister Robin, also sweet and kind, not to mention a rock star driver when you are late to see the play of your dreams.

It took me about 10 minutes longer to get to Robin's house, and so it was my fault for the lateness. There were introductions and hugging and expressions of excitement and joy. Then we all piled in Robin's car and headed to Rubios for a quick lunch. Thanks Robin, it was very yummy.

Then it was time for the documenting to begin. Here is a picture of me with cute April.

Don't' we look adorable together? She is wearing a fashionable jacket compliments of Robin. Robing bought it, but it fit April better. Aren't sisters fantastic?

And here is the Nani Nani Boo Boo picture of me with THE TICKET! Whoo hoo! I don't look excited at all do I?

There was some before the play drama because we were a bit later than we wanted to be. And of course there is the construction in Salt Lake to help make things exciting. Robin did a great job and dropped us off, then went to park. It was very nerve racking waiting and watching to see if she would make it in before the play started. I hope the fact that she was out of breath did not ruin the beginning of the play for her. Here is a picture I snapped of her during intermission. She is the one reading her program. Even though we were not sitting together we could all see each other.

Here's a picture taken by me of me with the theater in the background. The people behind me volunteered to take one, but I told them I was very adept at self portraits. They probably wondered why I would possibly have lots of practice at taking my own picture.

And here is one of my with the program. Also taken by myself.

Here is a shot of April paying for her t-shirt. Robin was so funny taking pictures of everything April did. Just like she was a proud mom documenting every minute of her child's life. I tried to get a picture of that, but I didn't.

And here are our sad faces because it had to end. So sad when happy things are over.

Next we were trying to meet up with Aprils SIL Brenda. She told us she was in the lobby, but when we got down there, no Brenda. Here is April calling to see where exactly she was.

Here is Robin doing her best "Where in the World is Brenda" face.

And a shot of all three of us. So much fun. I never did get a shot of Brenda, I am not sure if she wanted it that way, or I just missed her. She is every bit as nice as April and Robin.
All in all it was a wonderful day and break from reality that hasn't been that wonderful.
Thanks April, I feel I have begun a life long friendship with you.
And whoo hoo for blogging and blessings it brings to my life.

I am so glad you documented everything! I think we all wish we could have been there with you, to soak in the wonderfulness of Wicked.
And I agree with your last statement, "Whoo-hoo for blogging and the blessing it brings in to my life".
Blogging is an amazing thing!
Glad you had a good time.

How wonderful for you! (And April and Robin!) What a totally awesome afternoon. Nothing like a little traffic drama to heighten the thrill of it all! I am so glad it was all you had hoped. You deserve it.

So hip hip hooray for April and her dear husband who forfeited his seat!

I LOVE Wicked! We got to see it when we were in London a couple of weeks ago and it was fabulous. I'd love to see it again, though. :)

Again, I am totally thrilled for you Pat, happy you got a wonderful outing. I don't know anything about WICKED so I am happy you won that ticket but I'm a bit jealous that you got to meet April and Robin. I am just glad you got to go out and have a night for yourself. You totally deserve it!

And April, tell your hubby he rocks for giving up his ticket so Pat can win it...you both rock!!

I had sooooo much fun!!! The only sad part was that I couldn't hear you singing along. I was only jabbed a couple of times by the peeps beside me for singing too loudly!

We'll have to do this AGAIN!!!

And yes I am wearing my T-shirt today!!! WICKED ROCKS!!!

Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! I can't believe I'm looking at you and Robin and April. That's incredible.

It looks so fun.

We are taking our two oldest to Wicked in New York this summer. YAY! And I think we're going to meet New England Alyson there. YAY!

I also want to come to Vegas while I'm in Utah in July. I even looked into getting Donny and Marie tickets for the two of us (hee hee) but it seems as though they're not playing there anymore.

;(

Anyway, I still HOPE to get photographic evidence that you exist!
