Happy Fourteenth Birthday, Jared!

Yes, in honor of this special day, I have made a slide show of Jared's life. Lest you think this was prepared for his funeral, let me assure you he is still alive and kicking. In the very short future I will post about his birthday adventures atop the Stratosphere. They were very exciting and blog worthy. But for now, this tribute to my sweet, second son will have to suffice.
Jared, I am so pleased with the fine young man you are growing up to be. I admire the fact that you are a good student, dedicated musician, and great sportsman. A true triple threat. Any mother would count herself lucky to have you as a son, and that is exactly how I feel. I am so grateful you are a part of our family. So here is to you--hip, hip, hooray! And a very Happy Birthday!
